Privacy Policy

Anonymous gameplay analytics. To tune difficulty and improve the puzzles, the app records how plays go — which moments were placed, whether a placement was right, and how long it took — tied to a random identifier generated on your device. This identifier is not your name, email, Apple ID, or advertising ID, and is not used to track you across other apps or sites.

Advertising (Google AdMob). Whensly is free and shows ads. Our ad provider, Google AdMob, may use a device advertising identifier to show and measure ads. On first launch we ask your permission (Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt); if you decline, you'll still see ads, but non-personalized. You can remove ads entirely with a one-time purchase or a Whensly+ subscription.

Purchases. Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage your purchase/entitlement status, identified by a random app-user ID — not your personal identity. We never see your card or payment details.

Crash & diagnostics (Sentry). To find and fix crashes and errors, the app sends crash reports and basic diagnostic data (device model, OS version, and what the app was doing) to our error-monitoring provider, Sentry. This is tied to the same random per-install identifier described above — not your name, email, Apple ID, or advertising ID — and isn't used to track you across other apps or sites.

Game Center (optional). If you're signed into Apple's Game Center, the app submits your streak scores to leaderboards. Game Center and your alias are managed by Apple under its own privacy policy — we never see your Apple ID. You can turn Game Center off in iOS Settings.

Website waitlist (optional). If you enter your email on whensly.com to be notified at launch, we store just that email so we can send you a one-time heads-up when the app is live. We won't sell it, use it for ads, or send anything unrelated, and you can ask us to remove it anytime at [email protected].
